We work with all types of groups but have a background and specialism in working with hard to reach young people who for one reason or another find themselves isolated and limited in opportunities at school and/or in society. Often these young people lack confidence and strong role models and have nowhere to channel their anger and frustrations.
Positive activities in a fun safe environment effects positive change. All of our sessions are based on this principle.
Entering a wilderness and being given the trust and respect to work safely with bushcraft tools can make a profound impact on these young people as they are able to achieve successes in a short time frame and gain confidence from their new skills.
Practical conservation activities provide the opportunity to develop social and team working skills which can help them to engage and communicate with others which helps in their development.
We can provide one-off sessions but find that regular sessions over a period of time make more of a material impact in the long term. We also can provide recognised awards for the time spent with us.
From short 1hr long sessions to week long residential programmes with camping on our site in the Dee Valley we can provide what you want.
We have strong links with the adventure activity providers in the Dee Valley area of North Wales so can provide: white water rafting; gorge walking; canyoning; paintballing; rock climbing; abseiling; high ropes; canoeing; kayaking; and/or clay pigeon shooting to compliment the bushcraft skills
